Ballybeg House Wedding Photography

When I arrived up to Grouse Lodge for David and Laura’s winter wedding at Ballybeg House Co Wicklow. I was greeted by Laura and her bridesmaid Emma. They seemed to know more about me than I did…. but then they told me they had been stalking me on Instagram for the last few months! So the morning was off to a flying start with my new best buddies! As always the atmosphere in Grouse Lodge was full of excitement as Leanne from Vow to Wow Bridal Hair worked her magic with Laura and her beautiful red curls. Apryl from Making Faces Gorey was also there to do the magic of make-up. Chris and I were providing wedding photography and cinematography for the wedding.

Summerhill House Wedding Photography

Every year is full wedding photography highlights. When you are trusted to be the wedding photographer for a couple… that is an amazing honour for any photographer. But when you see the effect the coming together of two people has on everyone around them that is when you realise you are in the presence of two very special people on a very special day. When I met Tracey and Jemma for the first time at my studio in Greystones there was no doubt that I wanted to be their wedding photographer.

Brooklodge Documentary Wedding Photography

Liz and Ben planned and their wedding from Dubai and boy did they plan one hell of a party! The wedding all took place on New Years Eve in Brooklodge Macreddin Co Wicklow. Their guests, friends and family traveled from around the world to this incredible wedding day in Co Wicklow Ireland. I met Liz and Ben on one of their trips home and The Portrait Room was delighted to be booked to provide documentary wedding photography and cinematography for their wedding in Brooklodge. Chris and I also got to stay late past midnight for this wedding to make sure to capture the entire party in full swing! We absolutely loved working with Liz and Ben and their wedding party… they were all so much fun. They did not want to waste time taking too many wedding style photos they wanted The Portrait Room to really be photojournalistic and documentary in our style. To capture candid and reportage moments of their wedding that showed everyone enjoying themselves and having fun. As always for weddings in Brooklodge it had the best wedding suppliers in Ireland on hand for Liz and Ben.

Druids Glen Documentary Wedding Photography

The Druids Glen Resort in Co Wicklow was the wedding venue for Alice and Patrick and their February 2020 Irish wedding. The morning started in Patrick’s house with the lads just chilling with some beers. Patrick’s only request for the entire day was to get some photos taken at the Golf Shop in Druids Glen where he had worked. Then it was on to do some documentary wedding photography of Alice getting ready in the hotel itself. Hair was being done by Lou Merryweather and make up by Lisa Shannon …. two of the best…. and the girls looked incredible.

summerhill house wicklow wedding photography

You really cannot beat an August wedding in Dublin and Wicklow! Especially when the wedding is taking place in the Little Blue Church in Kilternan and the Summerhill House Hotel in Enniskerry Co Wicklow. Ruth and David were looking for relaxed documentary style wedding photography and especially photos that would feature the Little Blue Church. The morning could not have gone better with the excitement hitting fever pitched levels when it seemed the entire town of Bray turned up outside Ruth’s house including some bagpipes to see her off to the church in Kilternan.

Greystones Ireland Wedding Photography

Words cannot express how emotional this wedding was for everyone involved. Simone and Conor had traveled from Seattle with many of their family and friends to Ireland for a wedding that nearly never went ahead. Three days before their wedding day it seemed that nothing would go right as venues and suppliers all pulled out from doing their wedding because of Covid 19. Two days before the wedding I got a call from the mother of the groom asking was I available to shoot a wedding.
